came here for a cake after a client mentioned it, and try their sandwiches too. got the ham and cheese on a croissant and egg salad with cole slaw, they were meh. as for the main event: strawberry shortcake. cake itself was pretty good but the strawberries have gone bad. pretty disappointed otherwise as it was for a birthday. won't be returning.

Iβm always pleased to see establishments improve. Especially this one. I was genuinely pleased to see coming in that all customers were serviced with hospitality and courtesy. My sister who had never been here enjoyed the service as well as the great iced chai tea and cookies she had. I myself enjoyed my iced coffee and raspberry thumb cookies. Cousin Johnβs is a great staple of Park Slope and Brooklyn and I wish its continued success and quality in service.

I got a lot of things and they all taste 3 days old, stale, hard as a rock and are too expensive for the quality. Specially the pistachio lobster tail. Would never go back.

I had an amazing experience at Cousin Johnβs CafΓ© & Bakery in Brooklyn. We ordered the pancetta eggs Benedict, and it was outstanding. the pancetta was perfectly cooked and wonderfully savory. We also tried the fresh squeezed orange juice, which was refreshing, and the ideal compliment to the meal. The service was surprisingly impressive. The staff was attentive and kind, bringing water right away and offering complimentary chocolate raisin bread with cranberry jam (available only on Sat/Sun 9amβ3pm), which was such a thoughtful and delicious fall touch. The bakery section is incredible. They offer everything from cakes and tarts to cannolis made to order, crΓ¨me brΓ»lΓ©e, crumb cake, mini key lime pies, lobster-tail pastries and everything looked absolutely amazing and high quality. All in all, Cousin Johnβs delivers excellent food, exceptional service, and an impressive bakery selection. Highly recommended Iβll definitely be back!
